Why do genocides happen? What will it take to prevent genocides?

Throughout history there has been much genocide that has occurred. Usually genocide occurs because a group of people or a single person thinks that they are in power of another group of people. For example Hitler created genocide by blaming a certain group of people, the Jews, on the horrible economy that was progressing in Germany.
In order to prevent genocide from happening we need to first understand what it is. We should study and compare genocides in order to prevent similar ones from happening. If we study and understand past genocide and modern genocide we are able to understand what sparked those genocides to occur. Also, we can learn how to stop them before they escalate into something much bigger. We can’t just study genocides; we also must create a way to prevent it. In order to prevent genocides from happening we should come up with new laws or inform the public of genocide. If we educate the public more on genocide we may be able to stop the creation of them completely. Not only should we educate our country, but other countries as well, in order to stop genocide all around the world.
